International Workshop on Rough Sets in Knowledge Discovery: Foundations and Applications (RSKD 2007)

September 21, 2007, Warsaw, Poland

In conjunction with ECML/PKDD-2007

Rough set theory, proposed by Zdzisław Pawlak in 1982, is a research field rich in theoretical studies and successful applications. It is attracting researchers worldwide, in various fields of theory and practice for many years. A series of rough set related international conferences (RSCTC, RSFDGrC, RSKD etc., held every year on three continents) show growing interest in this field.

Rough set theory was always tightly connected with KDD, machine learning and data mining. Rough set paradigm in KDD proved to be very useful and inspiring. A scope of proposed workshop is focused on data mining applications of rough set theory, and thus it would be interesting for ECML / PKDD attendants.
